C. Central America to n. South America. Ne. Brazil. C. and e. South America;
Three populations;
(1) Gulf-Caribbean slope of s. Mexico from Veracruz and n. Oaxaca s. to Nicaragua and on both slopes from Costa Rica and w. Panama. E. Panama, w. Colombia and w. Ecuador.
(2) N. and e. Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Tobago, Guyana, Surinam and ex. n. Brazil (Roraima).
(3) N. Colombia.
(4) Nw. Venezuela.
(5) Brazil s. of the Amazon (Bahia (Chapada Diamantina), Mato Grosso and Parana), n. and e. Bolivia, Paraguay, ne. Argentina (Misiones).
(6) E. Bolivia and sw. Brazil.
