Range

S. Central America to nw. South America. W. Amazonian South America;
Two populations;
(1) Caribbean slope of ne. Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica, then on both slopes s. from Panama to w. Colombia and w. Ecuador.
(2) Se. Colombia s. through e. Ecuador, e. Peru to n. and e. Bolivia and Amazonian Brazil e. to Rio Tapajos.
