Range
Australia, New Zealand and islands of the sw. Pacific;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) Australia (sw. and w. Western Australia, n. and c. Northern Territory, nw. and ce. Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory (Campbell Park), Victoria and se. South Australia, Tasmania and possibly also the Solomon Is. (Guadalcanal and San Cristobal).
Disperse more widely into the interior of Australia. Winters in the Greater Sundas (Sumatra, Java, Borneo), Sulawesi, Moluccas, New Guinea and possibly the Philippines.
(2) New Zealand, Norfolk Is., Lord Howe Is. and Kermadec Is.
(3) New Caledonia and Isle of Pines.
(4) Loyalty Is. Includes Fiji and Futuna populations.
