W. and c. Africa;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) Senegambia, sw. Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau and Guinea.
(2) Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, s. Niger and the Cameroon.
(3) Principe Is.
(4) S. Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo to Angola, the Central African Republic, s. Sudan, Uganda, Burundi, e. and s. Zaire and nw. Tanzania and nw. Zambia.
