S. Turkey to ne. Egypt. Iraq through s. Asia to Taiwan, the Philippines and Sumatra;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) Asia Minor (s. Turkey, Israel in the Hula Valley, Jordan at Birket al Rais along the Yarmuk River) to ne. Egypt, Arabia, s. Yemen, Iraq, s. Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.
(2) W. India and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Burma, Malaysia, Sumatra and w. Java to Indochina, s. and e. China (Mai Po Marshes, Hong Kong) and Taiwan.
(3) Andaman Is.
(4) Philippines.
