C. Central America to n. South America;
Three populations;
(1) C. Mexico (San Luis Potosi, Puebla, Veracruz, Oaxaca and the Yucatan Peninsula) and Belize (Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve) to Nicaragua.
(2) Costa Rica to w. Ecuador.
(3) N. and w. Colombia, w. Ecuador and nw. Venezuela.
(4) S. Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana, n. Brazil and Trinidad.
(5) Upper Amazonia in e. Colombia, e. Ecuador, e. Peru and n. Bolivia and Amazonian Brazil.
(6) E. Brazil.
