Range

S. Europe, n. Africa and Middle East;
Highly fragmented distribution;
(1) Is. in the e. Atlantic Ocean including the Canary Is., sw. Europe (Mediterranean Basin), ne. Africa, and c. Sahara in Mauritania, Niger and Chad.
(2) Yugoslavia, Greece, Turkey and Cyprus.
(3) Egypt and Israel to Arabia, Iraq and s. Iran to Pakistan and ex. w. India(?).
Winters in sub-Saharan c. Africa.
