Range

Nc. Siberia, Japan, and Himalayas;
Two populations;
(1) Siberia, Sakhalin Is., the Kuril Is. and Japan.
Winters in e. China and s. to Australia (ex. ne. Western Australia, n. Northern Territory, c. to e. Queensland, c. and e. New South Wales (Sidney), Victoria, ex. se. South Australia and Tasmania.
(2) Himalayas of nw. Pakistan, n. India, sw. China and Taiwan.
Winters s. to India and Burma.
