Central America and nw. to wc. South America;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) W. Mexico (e. Sinaloa, s. Durango, Nayarit, Jalisco and w. Zacatecas).
(2) Se. Mexico (Hidalgo and Veracruz) s. through Central America to Panama. Colombia and s. w. of the Andes to nw. Peru and e. of the Andes in e. Ecuador, e. Peru to w. Bolivia.
(3) Venezuela to Guyana and Trinidad.
