Range

Tropical South America;
Two populations;
(1) E. of the Andes n. of the Amazon in n. and ne. South America from n. and c. Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Tobago, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana and n. Brazil.
(2) E. of the Andes s. of the Amazon in e. Peru, Bolivia, c. Brazil (Bahia) s. of the Amazon to Paraguay and c. Argentina (Patagonia).
