Range
Ex. s. West Indies (s. Lesser Antilles), ex. s. Central America and tropical South America;
Three main populations and many small apparently isolated populations;
(1) S. Costa Rica, Panama (Coiba Is.) to w. and n. Venezuela and Trinidad.
(2) West Indies in the sc. Lesser Antilles (St. Lucia).
(3) E. Colombia, s. Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana and ne. Brazil (Bahia, Chapada Diamantina).
(4) S. Brazil and Paraguay.
(5) E. Bolivia and nw. Argentina (Salta).
Populations in c. Colombia, s. Ecuador, Peru and c. Brazil are of uncertain status and not yet assigned to a race.
