Range

New Guinea and n. Australia;
Two major populations;
(1) New Guinea, w. Papuan Islands (Waigeo Is.) and Aru Is..
(2) Coastal n. and ne. Australia from ne. Western Australia (Kimberleys) to Northern Territory (Arnhem Land, Waterfall Creek Nature Park and Daly River in the Darwin region).
(3) Coastal Queensland (Cape York Peninsula in the Iron Range National Park) s. to the Endeavour River and Mitchell River).
(4) Coastal e. Queensland (Cairns, Mission Beach, Atherton Tablelands at Kingfisher Park) s. from Endeavour River to the lower Burdekin River and perhaps Rockhampton.
