Range

C. Central America s. through tropical South America;
(1) Se. Mexico (Veracruz, Oaxaca, Tabasco, Chiapas and Quintana Roo) s. along both slopes through Central America to Panama.
(2) N. South America from Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana s. w. of the Andes to sw. Ecuador and e. of the Andes to s. Brazil (Bahia, Chapada Diamantina) and n. Argentina.
