Range

W. and c. Africa;
Fragmented distribution at the e. range limit;
Senegambia, sw. Mali, Burkina Faso, s. Niger, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria (Kaduma) and n. and c. Cameroon. An isolated population exists along the border of Chad and the Central African Republic.
