Range

S. Central America and tropical South America;
Three populations;
(1) Se. Costa Rica (Las Cruces), Panama, Colombia to w. Ecuador.
(2) Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana, Upper Amazonia to e. Ecuador (Napo Wildlife Center), e. Peru (Tambopata River, Madre de Dios, Puno) and n. Bolivia.
(3) E. Brazil (e. Bahia).
