N., e. and sc. South America;
Three widely separted populations;
(1) Ne. Colombia and n. Venezuela.
(2) Margarita Is.
(3) Interior ne. Brazil.
(4) Uplands of e. Bolivia (e. and c. Bahia).
(5) E. Bolivia sw. and s. Brazil (Mato Grosso (Rio Paraguay)) to Paraguay, w. Uruguay and n. Argentina.
