Range

Ec. Brazil;
Ex. restricted range;
Curaca in the section along the Sao Francisco River below the city of Juazeiro.
Former range Bahia, Piaui, Maranhao and Tocantins. Its main population was found in a band 50km wide and 150-200km long stradling the Rio Sao Francisco in ne. Bahia and s. Pernambuco between the towns of Juazeiro and Abare. The last wild breeding record was in the caatinga close to the town of Curaca near the Rio Melancia.
