Coastal sw. Australia;
Sw. Western Australia from Murchison River to Esperance at Cape Natrualiste, Cape Leuwin, Two Peoples Bay, Porongurup National Park, Stirling Ranges National Park and the Margaret River and Mundaring Weir (Kalamunda National Park) and John forrest National Park e. of Perth.
Limits of ranges of this species and the Short-billed Black Cockatoo are uncertain in areas of overlap.
