Two disjunct populations;
(1) S. Mauritania and Senegambia (Saly), Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, s. Mali, Burkina Faso, s. Niger, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, s. Chad, n. Central African Republic, c. and s. Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, e. Zaire, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, s. Tanzania and n. Zambia.
(2) Sw. Angola e. in Namibia, s. and e. Botswana, ne. Zimbabwe, sw. Mozambique and s. to South Africa (Cape Province).
