Moluccas, New Guinea and Bismarck Archipelago;
Three major populations;
(1) Moluccas (Buru Is.).
(2) Moluccas, Watubela, Kai and w. Papuan Is.
(3) Yapen, Mios Num Is., and Biak Is. in Geelvink Bay.
(4) New Guinea and Admiralty Is.
(5) Bismarck Archipelago.
(6) D'Entrecasteaux Archipelago, Louisiade Archipelago, Woodlark and Trobriand Is. and Egum Atoll.
