C. and sw. Pacific Ocean;
(1) Marcus Is. and n. Marshall Is. (Taongi, Bikar) e. to nw. Hawaiian Is. (Gardner Pinnacles, French Frigate Shoals, Necker, Nihoa, Kaula Rock off Niihua and Kaula)
(2) Line Is. (Kiritimati or Christmas Is.) and Marquesas Is.
(3) Tuvalu (Ellice Is.) e. to Phoenix Is. and s. to Fiji and Western Samoa.
(4) Tuamotu, and probably also in the Cook, Austral and Society Is.
(5) Gambier Is.
Disperses to e. Australia (s. Queensland, New South Wales and ex. e. Victoria).
