Range

Tropical South America e. of the Andes;
Colombia and Venezuela (Rio Orinoco) s. in Guyana, Surinam, Guiana throught the Amazon Basin of Brazil (Bahia) to n. and e. Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay and ne. Argentina s. to the Rio de la Plata and ne. Buenos Aires.
