(1) Svalbard e. to Taymyr Peninsula, New Siberian Is. and the Lena River Delta.
(2) Chukchi Peninsula.
(3) Ne. Siberia (Anadyr Gulf, Anadyrland) e. to n. and w. Alaska from Kotzebue Sound to Bristol Bay.
(4) Arctic Canada in nw. Mackenzie, Banks Is., Victoria Is., Bathurst Is., nw. Devon, Bylot Is. and s. locally to King William Is., s. Southampton Is., nw. Keewatin and s. Baffin Is. Nw. Greenland.
Winters in the tropical e. Pacific Ocean off South America s. to Peru and Atlantic Ocean off w. Africa from the equator s. to South Africa.
