C. Asia;
Fragmented distribution;
Ex. restricted breeding range;
Breeds in se. Kazakhstan (Lake Alakol, Lake Sasakol, Lake Balkhash), ex. nw. Mongolia (Lake Orog), cs. Siberia (Transbaicalia, Lake Barun-Toray) and nc. China (Inner Mongolia).
Recorded on migration and during winter from n., ce. and se. China (n. Kansu, Shaanxi Province), Korea (Suncheon Bay), Japan and Vietnam (e. China Sea).
