North America, w. Europe, c. and nw. Siberia;
Three populations;
(2) Iceland, the Faeroe Is., British Isles (Ireland, England), Bear Is., w. France and the North Sea coast of w. Germany.
(3) Denmark and Scandinavia e. to nw. Siberia to n. Kanin Peninsula.
