Range

Mediterranean Basin and nw. Africa;
Fragmented distribution;
Mediterranean Is. off Spain (Donana and Ebro Delta), Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy and in the Balearic and Cyclades Is. as well as in the Aegean Sea and Cyprus.
