Range
S. Oceans;
(1) Se. South America and s. Atlantic Ocean in the Falkland Is. and s. Argentina from Chubut to Tierra del Fuego. Recorded off Brazil (Bahia).
(2) Gough, Inaccessible Is. and Tristan da Cunha Is. Ranges to s. Australia off sw. Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria (Portland) n. to c. New South Wales (Wollongong) and Tasmania.
(3) Subantractic islands of Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Pacific Ocean on Bouvet, Prince Edward, Marion, Crozet, Kerguelen, Heard, Macquarie, Auckland, Campbell, Snares, Bounty, Antipodes, Chatham, South Georgia, South Sandwich, South Orkney and South Shetland Is., as well as on the Antarctic Peninsula (s. to 65°S) and the coast of New Zealand (South Island, Fiordland and Stewart Is.).
Disperses n. to Tropical waters and at least to the s. Lesser Antilles in the Atlantic Ocean.
