Coastal Antarctica;
Breeds along the coast and in the mountains of Antarctica. South Shetland Is.
Disperses to South America (Brazil, Bahia), w. Central America, both coasts of the United States n. to Alaska and Canada, Greenland, s. Africa, New Guinea, Australia (w. Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and Queensland), New Zealand and Japan.
