S. Australasia;
Three populations;
Australia (w. to c. and n. Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland (Lake Bindegolly), New South Wales (Avalon Swamp and Leeton Swamp), Australian Capital Territory (Kelley's Swamp), Victoria to c. South Australia. Tasmania. New Zealand (e. North Island and e. South Island).
