Fragmented distribution;
(1) Africa s. of the Sahara in Senegambia, s. Mali, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, se. Niger, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo, n. Angola and n. in sw. Central African Republic, Chad, Ethiopia, s. Somalia, n. Zaire, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana and n. Mozambique.
(2) S. Angola and Namibia to sw. South Africa (Cape Province).
(3) S. Mozambique to sw. South Africa (Natal, Cape Province).
