(1) Europe from the British Isles to s. Scandinavia, and Belgium (Zeebrugge) e. across nw. and c. Russia and c. Siberia to Amurland, Ussuriland, Korea, e. China and Japan s. to Shikoku s. in the e. Atlantic to Canary Is. and Madeira and the Mediterranean Basin (Balearic Is., Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Crete, Cyprus), n. Africa in Morocco, Algeria, n. Tunisia and n. Egypt then from Turkey through the Middle East and n. Arabia.
Winters in s. Africa s. of the Sahara and n. of the Equator, Arabia, India, e. China (Hong Kong (Lamma Is.)), Indonesia and Taiwan.
(2) India and Sri Lanka to se. Asia.
Winters in Indochina and the Lesser Sundas.
(3) The Philippines s. to New Guinea and the Bismarck Archipelago (New Britain and New Ireland).
Winters in n. Australia in n. Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland.
