E. Greenland, Iceland and across the Palearctic from n. British Isles to nc. Siberia;
(1) Ex. ec. Greenland, Iceland, the Faroes, n. Scandinavia, n. Finland and across n. Russia to n. Siberia (Yamal Peninsula, lower Yenisei River and the Taymyr Peninsula).
(2) N. and w. British Isles, France (Ile d'Ouessant), Denmark and w. Germany through s. Scandinavia and Finland to the Baltic States.
Winters in w. Europe from the British Isles to the Mediterranean Basin, n. Africa and the s. Caspian Sea region.
