Range
New Guinea and associated is., Austrialia and New Zealand;
Fragmented distribution in the n. part of its range;
(1) S. New Guinea from Merauke to the Ramu River and Sepik River. N. Australia from n. Western Australia and Northern Territory w. to the Dampier and e. to Queensland s. to at least Cairns.
(2) Se. Australia from se. Queensland from Mackay s. in New South Wales to Victoria and e. South Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand.
Ranges widely to other parts of Australia, the Moluccas, Kai Is. and Aru Is.
