N. w. South America; C. w. South America;
Two populations;
(1) E. slope of the Andes in nw. Peru from Amazonas s. of the Maranon River to Leimebamba and Chaupe in Cajamarca s. to Junin.
(2) Ec. Peru (Pasco and Junin s. to Puno) to c. Bolivia (La Paz and Las Yungas of Cochabamba).
