Range

S. New Guinea, n. and c. Australia.
Coastal nw. Western Australia in the Roebourne-Onslow area e. in the Northern Territory (Knuckey's Lagoon near Darwin, Mamukala and the Barkly Tablelands) to se. and coastal Queensland (Matilda Highway between Karumba and Normanton in the Gulf Country, Townsville, turf farms s. of Cairns, and Heron Is.) and inland in New South Wales to c. South Australia and nw. Victoria.
Winters in Java, s. Borneo, the Lesser Sundas and s. New Guinea.
