Ukraine, Transcaucasus, Volga-Ural steppes, Lake Balkhash, Iraq, Oman, Yemen, Iran, Pakistan, India (Maharashtra and w. Bengal), and Sri Lanka (Chilaw n. and around to the s., Hambantota District (Yala National Park)) to Bangladesh, w. and c. China, Burma, Indochina, Japan (Yatsu Higata Nature Observation Center, Chiba) and Taiwan. Sub-Saharan Africa in Senegambia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Gabon, Central African Republic, Zaire, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Angola, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa (sw.
