Coastal Central America and n. South America;
Fragmented distribution;
W. Mexico (Sinaloa, Nayarit), El Salvador, Honduras and w. Nicaragua (Bay of Fonseca). Gulf-Caribbean slope of e. Mexico (Yucatan in the Bocas del Silan, Isla Mujeres), Belize, Honduras (Isla Guanaja and Isla Roatan in the Bay Islands). Panama (Caribbean slope in nw. Bocas del Toro and Canal Zone and the Pacific slope in s. Cocle). Coastal Colombia (Santa Marta Mountains) and s. to w. Ecuador and Peru? and e. in coastal Venezuela (Patos and Los Roques Is.), Trinidad, Guyana, and Surinam.
