Range

S. Central America. N. South America. S. South America s. of the Amazon;
Two, possibly three populations and a small isolated population;
(1) E. and se. Colombia (Meta), Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam and Guiana. Isolated population in Costa Rica.
(2) C. and se. Brazil (Mato Grosso, Goias and w. Bahia to Sao Paulo). Se. Peru (Pampas de Heath), n. and e. Bolivia (populations of uncertain affinities).
