W. Western Australia (w. to c. Western Australia). C. and e. Australia (c. Northern Territory (Kunoth Well and Alice Springs), c. Queensland (Lake Bindegolly) s. in New South Wales (Avalon Swamp and Leeton Swamp during summer), Victoria and nw. South Australia).
Ranges to Tasmania.
