New Guinea, n. and ec. Australia;
Two populations;
S. and n. New Guinea in the n. in Sepik River basin and in the s. from Frederik Hendrik Is. e. to Fly River. N. and ec. Australia in n. Western Australia w. to Onslow, Northern Territory (Fogg Dam), Queensland (along the Matilda Highway in the Gulf country), New South Wales and Victoria to e. South Australia (Bool Lagoon).
