Range

N. Palearctic;
Two breeding populations and three wintering populations;
Ex. nw. Russia. E. Siberia e. of Ural Mountains nw. of the city of Tyumen in the lowlands of the Ob River. Ne. Siberia in vicinity of Yakutia between the Yana River and the Alazeya River.
Migrate through the e. Volga Delta and Zhalong Nature Reserve in Heilongjiang, China.
Winters in three areas: Se. Russia and Iran (Caspian Sea, Kenar near city of Fereydoon) and n. Kazakhstan (Ovrag Karasu). Nw. India. China (lower Yangtze River, Lake Poyang).
