Africa s. of the Sahara, Madagascar and ex. sw. Arabia;
(1) Sw. Arabia.
(2) Senegambia, Mali, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Cameroon, Fernando Po, Gabon, Congo, Zaire, Central African Republic, s. Chad, s. Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, s. Somalia s. locally in Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Angola, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe to South Africa (ne. Cape Province, Transvaal, Orange Free State, Natal) and Madagascar.
