Range

North Africa;
Three populations;
(1) Nw. Morocco.
Introduced to the Canary Is.
(2) N. Mauritania, Morocco, n. Algeria and possibly n. Tunisia. Introduce to s. Spain (Gibraltar), and possibly Sardinia.
(3) S. Morocco, c. Algeria, s. Tunisia and se. Libya. N. Chad.
(4) Libya and nw. Egypt.
