(1) Nc. to sc. United States (e. North Dakota, nw. and c. Minnesota, n. Wisconsin s. to ne. Colorado, c. Nebraska, n. to se. Kansas, s. and ne. Oklahoma, wc. Missouri, and s. Illinois.).
Formerly in the 20th century in sc. Canada (c. Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and se. Ontario) s. n. Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Arkansas, and Texas.
(2) Coastal e. Texas.
Formerly sw. Louisiana.
(3) Formerly along the ne. coastal plain of the United State from Massachusetts (Martha's Vineyard) to Maryland and Virginia.
