Wc. United States;
Two fragmented populations
Restricted range (<193mile2 or <500km2 );
Sw. Colorado (main populations are in 6 or 7 counties including Gunnison County and Saguache Country of the Gunnison Basin s. of the Eagle River and Colorado River and six smaller disjunct populations) and adjacent se. Utah in a single county e. of Colorado River.
Extirpated populations in ne. Arizona, n. New Mexico, sw. Kansas, and ex. nw. Oklahoma may have been this species;
