Iran, n. Caspian lowlands, Aral Sea, Kazakhstan, Tadzikhistan and s. Kirghiz steepes and sw. Siberia (Tuva, upper Yenisei River) and w. China (w. Sinkiang) and nw. Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia).
Winters in s. Europe (Portugal and Spain on the Monforte Plains and Campo Maior), Africa s. of the Sahara and in s. Russia, Iran, India, Sri Lanka, the Andaman Is. s. and e. China.
