Slovakia (Senne), Belarus, Turkey, n. Iran, sw. and c. Russia to Caspian Sea region, n. Kazakhstan, n. Turkestan and Lake Balkhash, Mongolia, ne. China (Heilungkiang and formerly the lower Yangtze River), se. Siberia (Ussuriland, Salhalin Is.), Kuril Is., and n. Japan (Chitose River, Lake Utonai, Kushiro and Akkeshi-ko Benkanbeushi Marshes, Hokkaido).
