Senegambia, s. Mauritania, s. Mali, Niger, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Burkino Faso, Nigeria, Cameroon and the Central African Republic. C. Angola e. through Zaire to c. and s. Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia s. in open country in Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, sc. Namibia, s. Botswana, Zimbabwe (Hwange National Park) to s. South Africa (Transvaal, Natal, Swaziland and n. Cape Province).
