Winters mostly in c. Europe from the British Isles and c. Russia and c. Asia.
(2) Ne. Asia e. of the Ob River and Yenisey River to the Chukotski Peninsula.
Winters s. in c. Asia in s. Siberia, n. China and n. Japan.
(3) Kamchatka along the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk and the n. Kuril Is.
Presumed to winter in ec. Asia.
(4) E. Aleutians, w. and n. Alaska s. to Kodiak Island and n. Canada in n. Yukon, arctic islands n. to Banks Is., Prince Patrick Is., Victoria Is., Bylot Is. and sw. Baffin Is., n. Labrador s. to n. and se. Mackenzie, n. Manitoba, n. Ontario, n. Quebec and Newfoundland.
Winters s. from sc. Alaska and s. Canada as far as the c. United States.
