Nicaragua; Nw. South America; Tropical c. and e. South America;
Three populations;
(1) Pacific slope of w. Nicaragua. N. and e. Colombia (Gulf of Uraba e. to Guajira and middle Magdalena Valley s. to Tolima and locally e. of the Andes), Venezuela (Margarita Is.), Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam and w. ot the Andes in w. Ecuador and nw. Peru s. to Lambayeque.
(2) C. Brazil (Bahia (Chapada Diamantina)), e. and se. Bolivia (Santa Cruz, Tarija), Paraguay and nw. Argentina (Jujuy, Salta, Tucuman, Misiones).
(3) S. Ecuador and n. Peru.
